Today was my first time hearing about scraplings. They are cards made from the scraps left over after making square cards.

I made one for a Limited Supplies challenge at Splitcoaster stampers (keyword: LSC236).

scrapling

I had an unused cupcake stamped image (made by Unity Stamps) I had colored. Took that along with a pink scrap of cardstock, and an Enjoy stamp (also Unity stamps), glued them to the card – and voila! A scrapling.

I think I may make some and put them in my son’s lunch box.

I’ve been doing a dangerous thing. I’ve been cleaning out the closets.

I have a ton of old letters from when my husband was in boot camp and deployed. I’d like to get them out of the shoe boxes and manila envies. I’m just not sure what the best way is.

I am looooving this cat mug. Handpainted and beautiful! Love how the cat’s tail curls with the mug.

I found a stack of Cosmo Cricket’s paper. Loving the bright, happy colors.

you are my sunshine card

For this card, I cut strips of about an inch off from a couple pieces of double sided paper. Cut the strips in half. Next I stamped and cut around the text and the sun. Colored in the sun with sharpies and bic markers. A piece of ribbon was glued down to the card. I made the bow glued the bow together, then glued the bow down to the card.

Crissy is an amazing artist. What she can do with c opics will blow your mind. Her site is an incredible source of inspiration for cardmakers. I’m loving the sneak peak of High Hopes. It’s an adorable little girl with her dog.
She is doing a huge giveaway. Copics, markers, chipboard, Basic Grey, and all all sorts of embellishments.

Yesterday I made a card for the SBKC challenge. The challenge was to create a layout/card using a title from one of Michael Jackson’s songs. A real challenge for me since I didn’t like the guy. I did find a song title that was easy to work with. I almost feel like I was cheating.

Smile. So let’s smile everyone. It has finally stopped raining here. Time to enjoy the sun!

The stamp is made by Unity. I colored it in with sharpies and bic markers. I’m happy with the outcome. Still drooling over Copic markers.

Unity Stamps is having another awesome garage sale. I’m loving the sales. I bought my first Unity stamps last month. With barely having any, I can take advantage of lots and lots of sale prices. I’m excited – but the checking account isn’t. :)

This week I bought the Love is Everything, Scrappy Flower, Rain & Flowers, and Tiny Giggle Grove.

I  can’t wait for hodge podge of happiness to be released. The family of owls is just too cute.

This  LO is for an ad challenge for Scrapbook Kit Club design team. Lots of flowers and bling. I have so much to many flowers for having a boy. I’m hoping the bright flowers aren’t too girly. This may be the first time I completed a LO only using one piece of PP.

I’m on a roll! My white paint dauber dried up. I took an end of a foam brush and wiped the paint on. ha! Paint will not go to waste.

This was done for a design team challenge at Scrapbook Kit Club.
